Breast Cancer Awareness Month
No matter who you are or where you live, breast cancer may touch your life. It is necessary to understand the warning signs of breast cancer, your risk, and what's normal for you, so if there are any changes in your breast, you can act.
Warning Signs: while warning signs of breast cancer are not the same for all women, the most common signs are:
-lump, hard knot, or thickening inside the breast or underarm area
-swelling, warmth, redness, or darkening of the breast
- change in the size or shape of the breast
-dimpling or puckering of the skin
-itchy, scaly sore or rash on the nipple
-pulling in of your nipple or other parts of the breast
-nipple discharge that starts suddenly
-new pain in one spot that does not go away
It is extremely important for you to get your yearly mammogram to detect/diagnose breast cancer.
