Ovarian Cancer Awareness
Ovarian cancer is a type of cancer that forms in the ovaries and may spread. According to the American Cancer Society, more than 21,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed wiht ovarian cancer this year. Nearly 14,000 women will die from the disease in the same year.
By coming together, we can raise awareness, research funding, and provide support for people living with ovarian cancer and their loved ones. That is why it is so important to get involved with Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
Here are 5 ways to join the fight against ovarian cancer:
1) Make a donation to the NOCC (National Ovarian Cancer Coalition), or the OCRA (Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance)
2) Host or join a fundraiser
3) Volunteer at an ovarian cancer organization
4) Raise awareness by wearing a teal ribbon
5) Schedule a health check up for yourself
